Shahla de León is a doula and the founder of Soil & Sprout Perinatal. She offers support in both English and Spanish to families navigating the early postpartum period and NICU experiences. Her work is rooted in the belief that babies don’t grow in isolation—they grow in relationship with the caregivers and systems that hold them. Shahla provides compassionate, non-clinical support that centers the caregiver–baby dyad, helping parents feel more steady, resourced, and supported as they care for their babies. She offers a blend of emotional and practical support, including pregnancy and birth support, postpartum doula care, preemie parent coaching, and story sharing and integration. Whether sitting with a parent as they process their birth or NICU experience, helping make sense of medical information, or finding ways to translate recommendations into real life, Shahla meets families where they are—without pressure, judgment, or overwhelm. Drawing from her background in public health and her lived experience as a preemie parent, Shahla brings a trauma-informed, systems-aware lens to her work. She is especially passionate about supporting families through unexpected or medically complex journeys, and about creating spaces where parents can feel seen, heard, and not alone—so they can move through this chapter with more support, clarity, and self-trust.
