Hey there, I’m Jamee V.! Certified Birth Doula, Body Ready Method pro®, and future Body Ready Birth Instructor and Reiki Practitioner. I’m a Bay Area native who grew up in San Jose. One of my strongest attributes is my care for others and I’ve found my life’s work in being a doula. My approach to birth work encompasses emotional, physical, and informational support throughout your perinatal journey. I believe that every family deserves to feel prepared and empowered during this special time in your lives. As a member of your birth team, I’ll work collaboratively to help you understand, request, and receive the care that you need — I recognize the immense impact this can have on one’s birth. My calm and joyful aura will bring a sense of reassurance to you every step of the way. Through my journey as a doula I’ve recognized the need for more thorough physical and mental preparation leading up to birth and even in healing soon after. I found a significant piece to this puzzle from Body Ready Method®, which is based on 5 pillars: Upper Body Mobility, Core, Pelvis, Pelvic floor, and Movement Patterns. As a BRM® Pro, I have a deep understanding of how to help you prepare for your desired birth, minimize pregnancy related aches and pains, and support you in experiencing a smooth transition into recovery and postpartum. In my free time I enjoy trying a new restaurant with my loved ones, dancing with my hula sisters and brothers at the studio, or taking long walks with my dog, Oats. It’s truly an honor to walk alongside expectant families during their unique journeys of pregnancy, labor, and birth. I’m excited to connect with you and see how we can best work together!
